ARCH LIGHT ELECTRONIC IGNITORS

FEATURES:
• High (30,000 volt) intermittent ignition, 24 hours per day.
• Unique electrode spark gapping system, unmatched by any competitor.
• Self-cleaning arc gap.
• Arc gap never carbons across or becomes misaligned because of the Arch and "T" Design.
• The ignition head can be raised or lowered in windshield to find maximum ignition point.
• The ignition head is totally retractable to ground level.
• Ignition systems to suit all stack dimensions.
• Very good fluid overflow resistance.
• Can be installed on any stack dimension and height.
• Easy to repair and maintain.
• Combined with the
TORNADO™ TECHNOLOGIES INC. wind shroud and gas stripper, this system can't be beaten by other electronic ignition manufacturers.
• The
TORNADO™ ignition controls are built for heavy duty service.

Models available in 12V, 12V solar, 110V A.C. with battery back up. AII A.C. units come with battery back up to assure ignition under power failure conditions. Other voltage options available upon request.

The Simple-Lite spark controllers have been designed for the end user that doesn't need all the bells and whistles. It is a simple, dependable source of high energy spark at a special price. This spark controller is very reliable, and extremely user friendly for most applications.

STACK IGNITORS:
TORNADO™ ELECTRONIC IGNITORS are designed for application where fuel gas does not exist, or for conditions where gas conservation is considered to be of importance. The TORNADO™ ELECTRONIC IGNITOR head is totally retractable or weld on. The head assembly on the retractable unit can be moved up and down in the wind shroud to find the best ignition point where the air and fuel meet. The ignitor head insulator is mounted 5' below the intense heat of the flare, so it is not subjected to high heat and cracking. The arc spacing will not change, because the arch and "T' design remains consistent under high heat and warping conditions caused by winds blowing the gas to one side of the flare tip.

We feel that when you consider an electronic ignitor, you should consider the durable and effective design of the TORNADO™ ARCH LIGHT SYSTEM.

1: High voltage stainless steel cable
2: TFS standard wind shroud.
3: Electrode arc gap.
4: Large diameter pulley. (Stainless Steel Optional)
5: Simplified tracking system.
6: Stainless steel hoisting cable.
7: Stainless steel electrode mounting body, that can be raised or lowered to maximize ignition efficiency.
8: High temp alumina insulator housed in carbon steel.

Front and side view show center electrode being pushed to one side. This illustrates the movement possible without losing set arc gap. Due to the movement of the electrodes, carbon build-up is eliminated because, as the electrodes move around, the arc burns off the carbon deposits.

With the arch and "T" design, you get a good multiple position ignitor arc which will ignite flare gases more effectively than a fixed electrode. (above photo shows high voltage arc jumping positions. This ignites gases trapped between the arch space which is where the air and travels.

The TORNADO™ RETRACTABLE ELECTRIC IGNITOR head can be positioned so that under different flow conditions, determined by the field conditions, it can be raised or lowered to find a position that consists of an air/fuel ratio that can be lit by the arc. This unique option is not offered by other electric ignitor manufacturers.

The TORNADO TECHNOLOGIES wind shroud is a small design which does not create a large, low pressure area at the stack tip. Large style shrouds cause the flare gas to lick down the stack tip and generate high heat and excessive corrosion on the flare tip and ignition components.
